Who We Are
Mission, Vision & Motto
01
Our Mission
Nurturing Excellence
To provide a holistic, value-based education that nurtures every student's intellectual, spiritual, physical, and social potential — preparing them to serve as compassionate leaders in a complex world.
02
Our Vision
A Beacon of Intellectual Growth
To be a globally recognised institution where academic rigor meets moral formation — cultivating confident, creative, and compassionate graduates who make a difference wherever they go.
03
Our Motto
Lux et Veritas
"Light and Truth" — two principles guiding Hebron since 1966. Knowledge without character is incomplete; every student deserves to encounter both in full measure.
Our Journey
1966
Born in Surat
Raised in a family of educators and social reformers in colonial Gujarat.
1976
Trained in England
Studied theology and education at the University of Leeds on a Commonwealth scholarship.
1986
Founded Hebron
Opened the school with 12 students and a borrowed bungalow in the Nilgiri hills.
1994
Retired as Principal
Stepped down after 18 years, leaving a school of 600 students and a living legacy.
"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire. At Hebron, we light that fire every day."
