JANMASHTAMI

Today, let us talk about a celebration that is filled with music, colour, devotion, butter—and, of course, a little mischief! Yes, we are talking about Janmashtami, the festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna.
Lord Krishna was not an ordinary child. While most children are busy playing with toys, little Krishna was famous for stealing butter! But perhaps we should not call him a thief. After all, when your smile is as charming as Krishna's, even stealing butter becomes a legendary achievement!
Janmashtami reminds us of the fascinating journey of Krishna—from the playful child of Gokul to the wise guide of the Bhagavad Gita. He taught the world that life is not always about avoiding problems; sometimes, we must face them with courage, intelligence and a positive attitude.
Krishna also teaches us an important lesson about happiness. Despite facing many difficulties in life, he continued to spread joy. Perhaps that is why his flute is so symbolic. A flute has no music of its own; beautiful music is created only when someone knows how to play it. Similarly, our lives become meaningful when we allow good values, discipline, kindness and courage to guide us.
And let us not forget the famous Dahi Handi! A group of young people form a human pyramid to reach and break a pot hanging high above them. It is exciting to watch, but it also teaches us something important: no great height can be reached alone. Trust, teamwork and cooperation help us achieve what seems impossible.
So, this Janmashtami, let us take a little inspiration from Krishna. Let us be joyful like the child Krishna, courageous like the warrior Krishna, wise like the teacher Krishna and friendly like the beloved Krishna. And yes—perhaps enjoy some butter too, but please ask permission before taking it from the refrigerator!
As we celebrate this beautiful festival, let us remember that the true message of Janmashtami is not only about celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna. It is about awakening the goodness within ourselves and choosing to do what is right, even when it is difficult.
Let us celebrate Janmashtami with joy in our hearts, wisdom in our minds and kindness in our actions.
Thank you, and may the spirit of Janmashtami fill our lives with happiness, courage and positivity. Jai Shri Krishna!
