Just for a moment imagine this scene
The final match is underway. The scoreboard is against us. The clock is ticking. The pressure is enormous. The players are tired, the opponents are strong and everyone is wondering
Can they still win?
Then comes the powerful voice:
‘Sattar minute, Sattar minutes hai tumhare pass’
Those words remind us that the match is not over yet. There is a still time to fight and to give your best.
Yes Students, I am talking about the movie ‘Chak De India’ – which tell us the spirit of courage, team work and never giving up.
Students, on 29th August we celebrated National Sports Day – A day dedicated to the importance of sports and to remembering one of India’s hockey player Major Dhyanchand.
He is remembered as the Wizard of Hockey for his extraordinary control, skill and understand of the game.
But Major Dhyanchand story is not only about Hockey. It is a lesson of Discipline, Dedication, Hard work and Courage to keep inspiring.
Imagine a young student spending two, three hours looking at a mobile phone, scrolling, watching videos and playing virtual games and now imagine another student spending those same hours in running on a playground, playing football, basketball , hockey or any other game.
at the end of the year who will be stronger not only physically but also mentally.
obviously the second one.
Sports teach us things that a mobile screen never.
Can sports teach us how to lose without giving up, how to win without becoming arrogant, how to work with a team, how to handle pressure and how to keep trying when things don’t go our way.
Today our mobile phones become a part of our lives. They help us to learn and communicate.
Students we must use technology but don’t allow technology to use us.
Today you all ask yourself a one simple question
When was the last time I played for an hour without looking at my phone?
Because when you play a game, you learn team work.
When you lose, you learn how to accept failure.
When you win, you learn humility.
When the match becomes difficult, you learn how to remain calm under pressure. and when you keep practicing, you learn the most important lesson that, Success does not come from one big effort, it comes from small efforts, repeated every day.
And finally, whenever life puts us under pressure, whenever we face failure, whenever the scoreboard seems to be against us, let us remember the spirit of Chak De India!
The match is not over until the final whistle.
So, Students-
Play with Passion.
Study with Dedication.
Accept defeat with Courage.
Celebrate victory with humility and never stop trying.
Because in the game called life, the real champion is not the person who never loses.
the real champion is the person who never gives up!
Thank you.
